大田秀则画廊，1994年成立于东京，继在东京、新加坡开设空间后，这次画廊决定落户上海洛克外滩源。

Neri&Hu如恩设计受邀进行空间设计。

Founded in 1994 in Tokyo, the OTA FINE ARTS gallery expanded its presence to Tokyo and Singapore after its establishment. Now, the gallery has decided to set up its space in Shanghai at The Rockbund Art Museum.

Neri&Hu, the renowned design firm, has been invited to undertake the space design.
 

今年九月在洛克外滩源举办的首届“RAM Assembles 外滩建筑节”让这条拥有11栋历史保护建筑的街道被更多人熟知，从那时起，外滩源所在的圆明园路，即便是在平日，也依然人流如织、络绎不绝。

The inaugural “RAM Assembles Bund Architecture Festival,” held in September this year at The Rockbund Art Museum, brought greater recognition to this street adorned with 11 historic preserved buildings. Since then, the Yuanmingyuan Road, where The Rockbund is located, continues to attract a bustling crowd, even on regular weekdays.
 

画廊主入口位于安仁里弄，通过小径与圆明园路相连，大部分游客并不踏足于此。正是这种位于热闹中心，但又咫尺相隔的距离，让大田秀则画廊以半局外人的身份来观察和融入上海这座城市。同时，这里也是历史建筑与新建筑的交汇点，新与旧的碰撞，将其拥有更多元的文化呈现和自我身份。

The main entrance is situated in Anren Lane, connected to Yuanmingyuan Road by a narrow path, which most visitors tend to overlook. It is precisely this proximity to the lively centre, yet with a slight distance, that allows the OTA FINE ARTS gallery to observe and integrate into the city of Shanghai as somewhat of an outsider. Moreover, this location serves as a crossroads between historical and modern architecture, where the collision of old and new promises the gallery a more diverse cultural presentation and a distinct identity.

画廊内部呈现一个“厢盒”空间，弱化了环境其他元素，将焦点落在艺术品的展示。

“项目设计的整体概念与材料方案基于新与旧、原始与精致、朴素与雅致的并置”，带着这样的想法，大田秀则画廊的内部地面全部选用了 Cement Design材料。

The interior of the gallery presents a “boxes” spatial concept, minimizing all other environmental elements to accentuate the focus on the exhibition of artworks.

Guided by “The project's understated material palette and overall conceptual underpinning lies in the juxtaposition of old and new, raw and refined, ordinary and spectacular,” the entire flooring of OTA FINE ARTS gallery has been crafted using Cement Design’s material, embodying this thoughtful approach.
 

得益于 Cement Design 材料可以进行连续涂抹的特性，整个画廊的地面，延伸到一墙之隔的内部的洽谈区，没有任何接缝，这样的效果不仅保证了空间的整体性，还进一步弱化了观展的环境干扰因素。

Thanks to the continuous application capability of Cement Design’s material, the entire flooring of the gallery extends seamlessly into the internal negotiation area beyond the adjacent wall, without any visible seams. This effect not only ensures the overall integrity of the space but also further diminishes environmental disruptions for exhibition viewing.

 

室内流畅平滑的地面，与户外浅灰色小砖铺设的街道形成鲜明对比，却又彼此相融合不冲突，新与旧、原始与精致、朴素与雅致，在这里和谐共存，平缓过渡。

The indoor floor, smooth and uninterrupted, sharply contrasts with the outdoor streets paved with small bricks. However, they harmoniously blend without conflict, embodying a seamless transition between new and old, raw and refined, simplicity and elegance, creating a harmonious coexistence in this space.
